The Opelika Robotics and Engineering Organization's CEO and technical director, Keiran Broadley and Grace Kriel presented our project to the community by taking a small, toy robot to show some children in a local church. The toy robot was very similar to Monty, the robot we have designed and built this year for the B.E.S.T. Competition. The children enjoyed playing with the robot and hearing what they had to say about the robotic's club's activities. Some incentives were brought along to encourage the kids to ask questions, and these incentives also fit in our game theme! They brought some golden, paper crowns because this year's theme is "medieval" and the children loved them! However, they loved hearing about all the different tasks our real robot has to accomplish in this year's game, "Gatekeeper".
